Practice on a test network

The XRP Ledger has test networks with free test XRP, where mistakes cost nothing.

Besides the main network, the XRP Ledger has test networks for practicing and building. Each has its own test XRP, given away for free, and test XRP has no real-world value.

That makes a test network the right place to try a wallet, make a first payment or look at transactions in an explorer, without risking anything. It's also why nobody should ever offer to sell you test XRP.

Test networks are reset from time to time, and test XRP is lost when that happens, so don't keep anything there you want to keep.

This course never needs a wallet. If you do try one, start on a test network, and treat even a test seed with care: practicing good habits is the point.
